The old man is done. He doesn’t necessarily think so, but the world tells him to make room. Room for all the children who can’t wait to be born. And so the old man waits. He sits, waits, and is done.
Until he suddenly hears a strange sound at the front door. Something he hasn't heard in a long time. The man stumbles to the door, opens it and sees... a baby. Just like that. Out of nowhere. As if it fell from the sky. The old man quickly looks to see if there is anyone who belongs to the child, but he sees no one. He looks back at the baby and... it has suddenly turned into a toddler...
In Gammel you follow the unusual friendship between an old man and a mysterious child. A musical puppet theatre performance with puppets and mask play about the feeling of 'being needed'. That every day counts, for young and old.
