Fuad Hassen & Victor Luis van Es

First of all, Fuad Hassen is the funniest man in the universe. It's on the internet so it's true. He was born in Eritrea and left for the Netherlands at the age of 5, arriving in Den Bosch during carnival.

In 2006 he took his first steps on the stand-up stage and with success! Two years later, Fuad won the jury and audience prize of the Culture Comedy Award 2008 by a large margin. "Fuad has bravado and is a good storyteller," said the jury.

In 2013 he reached the final of Cameretten and left such a crushing impression that the jury has a lot of confidence in his future in the theater.

After Pareidolia, Held and Remmende Voorsprong, it is already time for Fuad Hassen's fourth performance. This time he goes back to his roots. And by that we don't mean Eritrea, but back to his stand-up roots. Where it all started. Vogelvrij is about all kinds of different forms of freedom. We want it, but can we handle it? Aren't we too domesticated? Fuad wonders whether he could handle it himself based on all kinds of stories with the typical imaginations that we are used to from him. Master at playing out comic situations. Full of imitations, characters and audience interactions. Just the way he wants it. In his own way and outlawed.

Fuad was seen in the BNN/VARA programs 'Rare Jongens' and 'Spaanders'. Had his weekly item in 2019 with 'Is there a doctor in the room' on RTL4. He was also seen in 2022 at De Avondshow with Arjen Lubach on NPO.

“Fuad knows the art of letting his imagination derail.” (Volkskrant)

"Fuad Hassen (...) once again a calm, controlled storyteller, who is good at playing out comic situations and also really has something to say" (NRC)

Victor Luis van Es (Amsterdam, 1989) is a real storyteller, open, honest and of course very funny. He has elevated the saying 'don't make a murder pit out of your heart' into an art. He doesn't shy away from a topic or personal experience if he thinks we can laugh about it. He has been rewarded for this several times in his career.

Victor has now made three theater performances and is touring throughout the country. That's why we thought it was extra nice that he filmed his second show 'Plan B' with us in the club. He said: "The first jokes and ideas for this show came about in Club Haug, so it feels very logical to end it here and record it in the living room where it was created."
