Fossielenexpeditie op het Maasvlaktestrand

You can join a fossil expedition under the guidance of experienced fossil hunter and FutureLand spokesperson Walter Langendoen. The Maasvlakte was created by the spraying of sand from the North Sea bed. With the spraying of this sand, the remains of ancient life ended up on the Maasvlakte beach. During the expedition you will look for real archaeological and paleontological treasures that are still found every day.

The program starts with a short presentation in FutureLand, after which you depart by bus to the Maasvlakte beach. During the expedition you will walk along the beach and along the high tide line. Boots or other appropriate footwear are recommended. The duration of the excursion is more than two hours. At the end of the fossil expedition, Walter looks at all the finds.
