Play with light and glass
In this series of workshops with Jolanda van Ostende, you will get to work with glass and metal wire. You will learn how to create beautiful light objects and window hangings, inspired by the ancient technique of stained glass. No experience is necessary. You will conclude each workshop with a unique work of art.
Workshop 1: Making glass trees
You create an elegant little glass tree. You attach colorful glass leaves to a wire base. The light plays beautifully through them.
Workshop 2: Weaving with glass on metal
Design your own pattern with glass shards on a metal base shape. This will become a colorful window hanging that transforms the light in a special way.
Workshop 3: Weaving with glass on a hoop
Apply the same weaving technique, but on a round hoop. You put your own spin on the design and take home a stylish window hanging.
Workshop 4: Glass fantasy fish
Weave pieces of glass around a 3D frame in the shape of a fantasy fish. Choose your own colors and design. The fish is a striking eye-catcher, for hanging or standing.
Register separately for each session you wish to attend. The workshops are in Dutch, but everyone can participate thanks to clear explanations and translation where necessary. Participation is free, but registration is mandatory.
