Filmvertoning My Morning Jacket - Live in Rotown ²⁰⁰⁰

Early 2000, My Morning Jacket gave their first performance outside the United States in Rotown. The pop program Lola da Musica recorded the concert for the VPRO, which ended up in a fragmented broadcast entitled This Is Not America. At the time, the group had played for an audience less than twenty times, but not long after that, My Morning Jacket became a big name in their home country.

Director David Kleijwegt found the raw recordings of the performance and, with input from the band and using the most modern techniques, turned them into a sparkling concert recording. For seventy minutes, a band can be seen and heard that was already bursting with talent. My Morning Jacket singer Jim James is already a fan: 'I can't believe how young I look.'
