Fijt & Fictie in het Klooster

Jildou Kroes tours the theatres and living rooms in the Netherlands with the performance 'HET IS TIJD' (Thúskomme). The piece is about coming home to yourself. That sometimes you can come home in all loneliness. That coming home is not just the place where you come from. That you can also experience freedom in yourself and in your body if you give it space. With this performance, Jildou wants to let the warmth of the living rooms and small, intimate theatres shine again. To make a connection again, when you have come home yourself.

Britt van Tooren asks: why wasn't I allowed to think about my own existence? I would have liked it if I had been asked: would you like to live? Do you actually feel like it? And then I could have chosen for myself: do I want to be born or not? About falling flat on your face and staying there a little longer. About wondering whether the email with the leaflet of life ended up in your spam folder. About longing to be a pebble. A rollercoaster performance full of catchy prose, dirty beats, monogamous penguins and (a kind of) God.
