Duvel, the Rotterdam rapper, presents his latest album, titled Rariteitenkabinet . You can experience this premiere at BIRD. Duvel has been a familiar face in the Dutch hip-hop world for decades.

A unique voice in hip-hop

Duvel has been active in Rotterdam's hip-hop culture since the 1980s. He started with breakdance and graffiti. Later, he developed into a rapper with his own style. His lyrics are recognizable by their street slang, humor, and Surinamese influences. In doing so, Duvel has created a raw and sharp sound.

Cabinet of Curiosities: experiment and energy

The album Rariteitenkabinet is the next chapter in his career. The music moves between experimental, raw beats and meticulous productions. Occasionally, you hear an unexpected ska-like energy. Mr. Ballantyne and RayTheBarbarian produced the album. The official presentation is on May 15 at the Groninger Museum. The album will be released on vinyl via Ruyzdael Publishing.
