Immerse yourself in this auditory trip with live music, an immersive soundscape and special lighting design
In Drowned (…in sound), the audience at the Keilepand in Rotterdam is taken on a musical journey through various stages of (auditory) immersion. A journey through water is a metaphor for our lives—a life full of expectations, events, and stimuli that we must learn to manage.
The musical performance is based on a new composition by sound designer William Bakker. Expect a live performance of (neo)classical music combined with an electronic ambient soundscape by composers such as Missy Mazzoli, Hildegard von Bingen, Adam Baldych, Nils Frahm, Hildur Guõnadottir, and Josquin des Prez.
Performed live by a lineup of synthesizers, a string quartet, and a female voice, amplified by a 3D speaker setup surrounding the audience and a special lighting design.
