Droomstad Witteveen

Four days after the bombing of May 14, 1940, city architect Witteveen starts working on a reconstruction plan. In 1944, his monumental vision for the Maas city was put aside. A large model of this never-built Rotterdam can be seen in Museum Rotterdam especially for Construction Day. The dream city of Witteveen will become visible again for one day!
