Djocy Santos meets the world

Djocy Santos is a proud independent woman who is a beautiful embodiment of the contemporary woman; independent, responsible but who can also be very loving! Djocy is originally from Cape Verde and has beautifully woven her roots into her singing skills. Her music style can be described as nice and sultry, supplemented with modern Western blues touches. Since 2015 she has released several songs, of which the song “Bem Ma Nos” is one of the highlights. The latest EP, Mulher has brought her to several international stages.

The Cape Verdean Rotterdam Djocy Santos is a very enthusiastic singer and cook. During Covid-19, she developed a talk show with other artists (at home and abroad) that she broadcast via Instagram Live. She received a lot of nice responses and she decided to think about how she could connect her love for conversations with other artists, music and food to a concept for all Rotterdam residents.

In a living room setting, Djocy talks to a fellow artist from Rotterdam. This artist has a different bi-cultural background than Djocy, which means they talk to each other about their differences, but especially about their similarities. The talk show consists of music, food, talking and cultural identity. During the conversation we will go into depth about personal developments, life experiences, culture, music and much more.
