Dalton Jansen JAH!
How do you survive in an environment that does not accept that people of color have the same rights? Inspired by his father, a young Curaçaoan immigrant, choreographer Dalton Jansen pays tribute to the black man in the West and the wisdom of the Rastafari movement. He puts his relationship with his father under a magnifying glass and provides a glimpse into a lifestyle full of peace, love and harmony.
About the performance
Five performers search for their identity and relationship to each other. What does it mean to be father and son? Which traumas do you pass on and which do you let go? How do you choose for yourself as a child, if your father could not do that for himself? Come by and search for a better world together.
