Dabke Night

Whenever there is a celebration in Arab countries – from a wedding or birthday to a festival – it is done with the performance of the dabke. Dabke originates from countries like Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan and Iraq. It literally translates as ‘stomping’, but is actually a folk dance, where the dancers dance in a circle to rousing music. Dabke Nights brings authentic Middle Eastern vibes to the club night with live acts, DJs, a workshop for beginners and definitely the best vibes with a club night where everyone feels welcome.

Every Dabke Night starts with a dabke workshop where you will learn the basics of the dabke dance in no time. Come a little early and join us, no experience necessary.

This edition 'king of keyboard' Rizan Said will give a live performance. He is known as the keyboard player of Omar Souleyman and has played in the past at many festivals in the SWANA region and beyond but also in the Netherlands including ADE.
