Comfort Creature

My name is Comfort Creature, I am an artist/producer from Rotterdam.

My musical development started making beats on my father's laptop as a child, in Garageband. When I was thirteen I started playing the guitar, then I also started writing songs and making more beats. I'm currently putting almost all the time I have into music to ensure I reach my full potential. I am almost completely self-taught and this results in my own sound. I would describe my music as narrative, emotional and experimental. With my music, which consists of a combination of folk, hip hop and jazz, I take people on a journey.

Rap is my biggest musical influence. You can hear this in my rhyme schemes, flows and storytelling. Also in how I produce and mix my music, if you listen carefully.

I have been seriously pursuing my music career for a year now and my goal is to create my own community around my music. Last year I gained as much stage experience as possible. For example, I participated in the Grote Prijs Van Rotterdam in 2023 (singer-songwriters category). This was a great learning experience, which gave me a better idea of how I want to put on a live show.

I try to comfort people with my music. Hence the name.
