As in each of his creations, Serge Aimé Coulibaly is inspired by African cultures, initiation rituals, the role of masks and the word, and links these to the contemporary global context. With C la Vie, Serge Aimé Coulibaly follows the great tradition of dedicatory stories and creates a piece that is resolutely contemporary thanks to the use of bodies, voice, music and video. The performance invites us to question our choices as people and as citizens: How can we give meaning to our lives?
