Best friends Anthony, Dignan and Bob organize a highly elaborate, moderately successful robbery of a small bookstore and then go on the run. During their adventures, Anthony falls in love with South American housekeeper Inez and befriends local thief par excellence, Mr. Henry, played with verve by James Caan.
