Bill Frisell Four

Guitarist Bill Frisell is a man who regularly changes line-up to shape his musical ideas. On his album Four, which was released in 2022, he chose pianist Gerald Clayton, drummer Johnathan Blake and saxophonist Greg Tardy, with whom he has worked before.

Baltimore-born Frisell became known in the 1970s for his collaborations with saxophonist John Zorn. He also played for many years in the band of legendary drummer Paul Motian. In his solo work, the guitarist integrates elements from folk, country, Americana and rock 'n' roll.

In 2005, Frisell won a Grammy Award for his album Unspeakable and in 2011 he adapted the work of John Lennon in a special way for his album All We Are Saying. Frisell is one of the most innovative jazz musicians of his generation.
