BassFest PopOp: Marilonah
BassFest's pop-up concert in collaboration with De Hillevliet features free music and snacks. This week, Marlonah, known as Arp Frique's bassist, will be playing. Expect grooving afrobeat and funk.
In the run-up to BassFest '25 (formerly Dutch Double Bass Festival), BassFest and De Hillevliet are organizing three free Pop Up Concerts in Rotterdam South.
On three separate days, we'll connect the public with the next generation of musicians – artists shaping the future of bass music. Visitors can enjoy live music and free snacks provided by the Mensa Mensa canteen.
Saturday, November 1 – 12:30: Marilonah
Marilonah is best known as the bassist for the energetic band Arp Frique, with which she performs on major stages and festivals worldwide. As a solo artist, she develops her own sound, fusing funk, disco, Afrobeat, and electronic grooves into an energetic, adventurous mix.
