In the lead-up to BassFest ’25 (formerly the Dutch Double Bass Festival), BassFest and De Hillevliet are presenting three free Pop Up Concerts in Rotterdam Zuid. On three different days, we bring audiences into contact with the next generation of musicians – artists shaping the future of the low end. Visitors can enjoy live music and free bites provided by the Mensa Mensa canteen.
Wednesday 5 November – 12:30: Aäron Bouwman Trio
Bass guitarist Aäron Bouwman, known from the band SMANDEM, is making waves as a fresh and inventive voice in the Dutch jazz scene. With his deep, groove-driven playing style and love for layered textures, he creates soundscapes that captivate both dancers and dreamers alike.
