In a country governed by wealthy, highly educated people, poverty is viewed in a limited and sometimes even harmful way. Tim 'S Jongers grew up in poverty, eventually went to college, did research on poverty and now makes policy proposals to combat it.

In this theatre lecture he takes the audience along the many misconceptions that exist about poverty. Because what most people think about poverty is completely wrong - and the only way we can combat it is if they learn to see it differently.
