In a near future, life on Earth as we know it has been destroyed. Paul and his two teenage sons, Thomas and Joseph, try to survive in a world where they have peace during the day, but are plagued by fear at night. After sunset, dangerous creatures awaken and want to devour everything and everyone in their path. That is why they live in a fortified farmhouse that protects them from this danger. When Thomas arrives home late one day, Paul risks his own life to leave their home to find his son. Paul is seriously injured in the process. After Joseph finds his brother and their seriously injured father, the brothers are faced with a challenge. They must come up with a plan to survive the coming night and use everything their father has taught them to keep him alive.
