Antigone - Het Nationale Theater / Nina Spijkers

Antigone's two brothers wage war over the city of Thebes and are both killed in the battle. Their uncle Creon is to lead the city and to restore political peace, he forbids any of the brothers to be buried. Anyone who does so will be punished with death. But Antigone is determined to give her brother a dignified farewell. On the evening before her wedding to Kreon's son, there is a fatal clash with her family and political power.
