This is a true home game for Another Taste. The Rotterdam band is playing BIRD in their own city, and for good reason: it's their album release show. A special evening in a venue that feels like their natural habitat.

On Friday, May 1st, they'll present their new album at BIRD. Expect an evening focused on groove, live energy, and a band that knows exactly what it's all about.

Another Taste defies categorization. Their sound moves between funk, disco, boogie, and modern grooves, always with their own signature. Not nostalgic, but simply contemporary.

This Rotterdam collective crafted its unique sound in Danilo Plessow's (MCDE) home studio, using only tape and analog equipment. No frills, no perfection, just character, warmth, and groove. One of those takes made its way to the world before the first vinyl was even pressed and went viral.

Live, Another Taste feels like a family reunion: exuberant, danceable, but always with a layer of tenderness underneath. You hear that same energy in the studio recordings; music that sounds like a crowd refusing to stand still.

While their 2023 debut album showcased their versatility, Another Taste II (2026) offers a complete immersion: sharper songs, richer arrangements, and hidden stories for those who listen closely. Through characters, interludes, artwork, and lyrics, an imaginary metropolis unfolds; a counterpoint, a refuge for those seeking vibrancy in confusing times.

The band grew along with that universe. The original lineup—Bob Roche, Bobby van Putten, Barend Lippens, and Teun van Zoggel—is now joined by Sarina Voorn, Diogo Carvalho, and Florian Verhagen. Together, they've rocked venues and festivals from Love Supreme to ADE, and from KOKO London to New Morning Paris.
