and then the wolves invite me to dance
An exhibition by Ana Francisco-Horsthuis, in collaboration with six people with schizophrenia. For those who are curious about different inner worlds and for art lovers.
This is a project developed in collaboration with six people diagnosed with schizophrenia. It includes portraits, visual representations of perceptions and feelings, and images created in collaboration with or by the project participants. In addition, it contains excerpts from the participants' testimonies and the artist's diaries, as well as excerpts from scientific research. AND THEN THE WOLVES INVITE ME TO DANCE arose from a shared desire to tell stories about humanity and equality, acknowledging that the inner and outer world can be experienced in ways that many of us may never know. The project aims to stimulate new meanings and ideas, to give the feeling that something else should and could be possible. It is a project that asks us to imagine something else, to start new conversations and to think in new ways about our own inner world and that of others, for the benefit of all those who exist and function in a slightly different way than what is considered ‘typical’. The exhibition is made possible by CBK Rotterdam.
