Alain Pérez y la Orquesta

Pérez was born in Manaca Iznaga, near Trinidad, Cuba, and grew up with influences from Cuban folk music, flamenco and jazz. His musical journey has spanned more than twenty years, during which he has emerged as a composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist. He has shared the stage with greats from various genres, worked as a musical director and arranger for legendary names such as Paco de Lucía, played with the famous Irakere of Chucho Valdés, conducted the orchestra of Issac Delgado, and produced music for Estrella Morente and Celia Cruz, among others. He recently signed for the production of Diverso, the album of the internationally acclaimed Miguel Poveda.

Pérez has been nominated for a Latin Grammy several times and won in 2021 in the category 'Best Traditional Tropical Album'.
