5KM LINT

Especially for children aged 7 to 12, Villa Zebra presents 5KM LINT, a new programme in collaboration with Rotterdam artists and the Municipality of Rotterdam, in which children are invited to think about the city – and about each other.

From the windows of Villa Zebra you can see how bridges connect North and South. But real connection is not in steel or concrete – it is in people. You are connected to the people around you because you talk, play and share together. Between the bridges are offices, houses and parks. But what is missing are places where you really make contact.

In 5KM LINT, children investigate how to design such places. Together with artists, they think up and build meeting places where people can play together, talk or share something. This creates a children's ribbon that winds through the city - a line of ideas, encounters and designs that connects everything and everyone.

5KM LINT is part of the ongoing program ZIE JEZELF! by Villa Zebra. In this program, children discover who they are, what suits them and how they find their place in the world through creation. The content of ZIE JEZELF! changes regularly and ties in with current themes.
