Mutha Flac x FRANKIE TEARDROP NO BORDER Tour

An IFFR special takes place in the run-up to the Tra Fasi documentary screening. The night brings together two uncompromising underground acts for a high-energy double bill that bridges scenes and geographies, riding the momentum after IFFR 2026 and the buzz surrounding Tra Fasi’s premiere and the January release of FRANKIE TEARDROP’s EP Boxcutter.

FRANKIE TEARDROP (NL) delivers sharp, satirical synth-punk driven by frustration, irony, and noise, while Mutha Flac (SR) brings raw, unfiltered punk straight from Paramaribo. Together they form a volatile collision: Dutch electronic chaos meets tropical Surinamese punk urgency, united by a shared DIY ethos and a refusal to smooth the edges.

Formed in 2019, Mutha Flac is the only punk rock band to emerge from Paramaribo, addressing themes of identity, corruption, and youth rebellion with fast riffs and hammering drums, most recently on the single “Guillotine” (Beerput Records, 2025). From Zaandam, FRANKIE TEARDROP channels the absurdity of contemporary life into loud, cynical, and darkly humorous bursts of sound.
