Italorator - Charlie (live), Radio Tornado & Marsman

Last year, Pinkman label head Marsman launched his Italorator radio show, where he, along with guest DJs, takes listeners on a journey into the brighter side of the '80s. Think Italo disco, synth-pop, and Hi-NRG classics, as well as contemporary music with a similar vibe. What began as a beloved radio show on Operator is now evolving into an event series. After 2 successful and sold-out editions in January & March, Italorator will be back at Roodkapje! Join us on September 19th for another night filled with Italo, Synth-pop, and Hi-NRG goodness.

For this edition, Marsman is joined by Berlin-based Charlie doing a live set. Behind the decks she has been smashing dancefloors for years, selecting an eclectic yet always driving mix drawing from the same influences. But as a skilled pianist, she was always drawn to creating her own music as well. She contributed to several projects for movies and performances, and over the years fleshed out a killer live show using analog synthesizers and machines.

The night will start with a set by Rotterdam based collective Radio Tornado. Radio Tornado curates everything from club nights to documentaries on Italo music, and full-length programs featuring live performances. Whether on stage or on air, they bring global rhythms with a local twist.
