Roodkapje proudly presents 'The land knows you, even when you are lost’, an exhibition by Carmen Camilla, Puk Horsten, Jane Callaghan and Marlise Breye. These four artists won the Jan Naaijkens Prize for their exhibition at Kunstpodium T in Tilburg. As part of this prize, their exhibitions travels to a guest venue, in this case Roodkapje!

In 'The land knows you, even when you are lost', four artists come together in a shared exploration of the poetics of material, the transience of form, and the intuitive power of making. They are united by a fascination with processes of change: growth, decay, transformation. Their works emerge from attentive observation: of landscapes, found objects, natural or synthetic materials, traces, and residues.

In this exhibition, clay powder becomes the common foundation from which the works seem to emerge, causing the signature of the individual maker to dissolve into a shared materiality. In doing so, it reflects on how the artists position themselves within the natural world, on their urge to create and their desire to mark their presence. Rather than a finished outcome, the exhibition remains a lingering trace of a performative process, one of appearing and fading, of hesitant gestures, marking, erasing, and starting over.
