At Comedy Club Haug we are always looking for tomorrow's talent and offer space for comedians to develop. The Open-Mic is the place to discover new comedy talent and where comedians can test new material on the audience.
The open-mic is presented by a MC and we hear you asiking: What is the role of the MC at an open mic? The MC (Master of Ceremonies) is an experienced professional comedian who hosts the night. They open the show, warm up the audience and set the tone for the evening. Between acts, the MC introduces the comedians, keeps the energy up and smoothly handles any transitions or unexpected moments. In short: the MC holds the night together, making sure both the audience and performers feel comfortable and engaged.
If you are or think you would like to become a comedian and would like to play at one of our Open Mic events, please send an email to newtalent@clubhaug.com. We are always looking for new talent to work with. You might become one of our regular comedians!
PS The line-up is subject to change, check the website for the latest line-up. Shows run about 2 hours including intermission.
