The Domes
Together with residents, local organizations and the Street Culture scene, we are developing a new destination for the former Gas Domes in Mallegatpark in the Feyenoord district. It should become a spot where young people can be inspired by various Street Culture sports and art forms.
Rotterdam South
From freerunning to freestyle football, break dancing and basketball. But also rap battles, spoken word, theatre, dance and exhibitions. De Koepels is the home for street culture in South Rotterdam.
The Domes are located in the Mallegatpark, in the middle of the Feyenoord City area. The Feijenoordsche Gasfabriek was built here in 1879, which closed its doors in 1965. The gas domes remained standing and had various functions over the years. Now they are a breeding ground for the Rotterdam street culture scene. A place bursting with creativity. De Koepels were officially opened in the summer of 2022. You can watch an impression of this in the video below.
Events and activities
De Koepels regularly organizes events and activities for children, young people and young adults. The location can also be rented by companies, for example for a presentation, workshop or an introduction to Rotterdam street culture.
