Sneakerness back at The Van Nelle Factory

Jeroen Veenstra

De Van Nelle Fabriek has been the setting for Sneakerness on several occasions. Always in October. For the first time there will be a spring edition. 31 May and 1 June will be all about street style, with breakdance, music and exhibitions alongside the trainers. Tickets are available here.

Woei is hosting another sale and there is a lot of focus on the latest sustainable trend: upcycling. Brands like Stitching Stories and Saint Muze will sell their unique items and vintage will be offered by KiloKilo.

"At Sneakerness, we see a clear shift in the way our visitors look at trainers. It has long since ceased to be just about the individual shoe, no matter how iconic. The emphasis is now much more on creating a complete, thoughtful look in which the trainer seamlessly integrates and even forms the foundation. That complete approach, where your shoe still does show who you are and what you stand for, is what keeps trainer trends alive and exciting," explains Matthijs van der Meulen (co-CEO Sneakerness).
