Schaatsbaan Rotterdam kicks off its 13th season with festive Grand Opening on Saturday 22 November. While the fun rink has been open for a while, the 400-metre rink will also open. It will be a day full of music and fun with princesses on the ice to disco under rainbow lights. Between 09.00 and 17.00, visitors can take to the ice from €1. After 17.00, a reduced rate of €6 applies. Tickets are only available online via this link.

The festive kick-off of season 13 offers a day of activities and live music. Winter gets off to a fairytale start with the Anna & Elsa Show and Meet & Greet. Mad Science offers spectacular experiments with fire, ice and humour. There is live music and then a DJ spins while the 400-metre track is lit up in all the colours of the rainbow. There will also be a Disco Bingo.

Skating rink Rotterdam has been the place where winter really begins. Here, friends, families and colleagues gather for their first laps, for fun or just to escape the crowds. "It remains special every time to see those first visitors take to the ice again," says director Tijs Nederlof.Since 2013, Schaatsbaan Rotterdam has been the city's winter spot. With its iconic 400-metre rink, covered Funbaan and atmospheric Winterplein, the rink offers a unique winter experience every year.
