A magical fusion between Asia and Europe with program and soloists from Turkey!

Join us on a worldly journey and experience the magical fusion of Asia and Europe in the music of two vibrant composers from Turkey.

In his chamber symphony, Fazıl Say focuses purely on the Turkish signature with its special lyricism and rhythm, while in his 'Silk Road' piano concerto he takes us from Tibet via India and Mesopotamia to Anatolia.

Mehmet Ali Sanlıkol is not only the composer of the final piece on the programme, but also takes part in the performance as a vocal soloist and player of special traditional instruments such as the oud and the ney.

The orchestra is conducted by guest conductor Murat Cem Orhan.
