Voorvertoning docu Op adem
Op Adem is a moving short documentary about a family that is forced to leave Rotterdam for the clean mountain air, to give their son Sem a chance to breathe. An intimate portrait about love, choices and the impact of air pollution.
When young Sem stops breathing after a severe asthma attack, his mother decides that things can't go on like this. They've been in and out of the hospital for years, and the air pollution in Rotterdam turns out to be a silent enemy. In a radical attempt at recovery, part of the family moves to the mountains in southern Germany — while the eldest sons stay behind in Rotterdam. Op Adem shows how love, sacrifice and resilience are central to this special family story. The documentary (30 minutes) not only highlights the personal, but also opens up the conversation about air quality in our cities. After the screening, there is room for dialogue during a Q&A with the director, those involved and experts: an invitation to think together about a healthier living environment.
