THOR (8+) ISH
In collaboration with ISH Dance Collective, the Ballet Orchestra is creating the music theatre performance THOR.
An epic tale in classical music, hip hop dance and spoken word, based on the stories from the Edda, the Norse mythology. Musicians and dancers together tell the story of Thor and his friend Loki who go on an adventure. They discover the power of nature, party with gods and fight for Thor's hammer. An exciting performance about power, deceit and friendship, with a live 43-piece orchestra, for families with children from 8 years.
Thor, son of the supreme god Odin, is a rebellious child. He drinks beer with the lightning goddesses and beats up giants. But then he receives the magic hammer Mjöllnir from the fire spirit Loki, a gift that seals their friendship for life. When the troll king Prymr steals the hammer, a great adventure begins for Thor and Loki…
