The Buoys

Sydney-based all-female indie rock band The Buoys combine infectious melodies and sharp lyrics with gritty guitars and a driving rock sound, creating a fresh, distinctive space where themes of uncertainty, curiosity, disappointment and determination collide. Their songs are as catchy as they are pure pop, but infused with raw power and sincerity, driven by honest storytelling and purposeful, unfiltered instrumentation.

In just a few years they released three EPs — including their breakthrough single Lie To Me Again, which peaked at #85 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 — and toured extensively across Australia, collaborating with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Wet Leg, The Dandy Warhols, IDLES and Royal Blood. In July 2024, their long-awaited debut album Lustre was finally released.
