Six Inches of Soil follows a new generation of British farmers who are taking matters into their own hands and challenging the industrial food system. Their mission: to restore fertile soil, produce healthier food and nourish their communities with care and attention. The film shows how these pioneers are abandoning traditional farming methods in favour of regenerative methods that work with nature, rather than against it. Their stories are personal, hopeful and touch on urgent issues such as climate, health and food security. Through their work, they are building a future where agriculture is sustainable, local and socially connected. Six Inches of Soil reminds us of the fragility and value of that thin layer of fertile soil on which all life depends. A documentary full of urgency, inspiration and determination.
