A historic concert on the big screen

Power To The People: John & Yoko Live in NYC is a concert film that captures two performances by John Lennon and Yoko Ono at Madison Square Garden, New York City, on August 30, 1972. The John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band with Elephant's Memory and Special Guests gave two sold-out shows that day for a total of 40,000 spectators. They were the only full concerts John Lennon gave after his departure from The Beatles.

A good cause as a driving force

The One to One concerts had a social purpose: the proceeds went to children with intellectual disabilities and developmental disorders. The shows raised more than 1.5 million dollars. The concert film shows you how music and activism go hand in hand.

Restored and reassembled

Director Simon Hilton directed the 2026 version, based on Steve Gebhardt 's original multicamera footage from 1972. Ben Wainwright-Pearce edited the film. Sean Ono Lennon and Paul Hicks handled the music production and the remix.

Iconic songs and special guests

You will hear classics like 'Imagine' , 'Instant Karma!' , and 'Give Peace a Chance' , but also 'Come Together' and 'Hound Dog' . Special guests such as Stevie Wonder and Melanie will appear on stage.
