North Sea Round Town - Gabriël Noerens Quartet

Every year in May, third-year Codarts Jazz students present their original compositions and/or offer their own interpretations of well-known jazz pieces during the Brand New Jazz Festival. During this vibrant festival, they completely take over the stages of the Maaspodium in Rotterdam for two evenings. After attending the 2025 edition on May 19 and 20, we once again selected two promising ensembles this year to present their work at Stadspodium with a concert during North Sea Round Town.

Gabriël Noerens Quartet

The Gabriël Noerens Quartet is formed by Codarts students who are connected by a shared passion and vision for jazz. The group consists of Yuval Czernobilsky on guitar, Filip Baader on piano, Vishal Rebari on double bass, and Gabriël Noerens on drums. The quartet performs original, contemporary jazz compositions by Gabriël Noerens, with a strong focus on interplay, sound, and modern grooves. At the same time, they create space within the music, allowing room for personal expression for each member.
