Steyn worked in a homeless shelter for two years. He transforms that experience into a hallucinatory theatre trip about life on the street. An Odyssey, told by an anti-hero. About success and failure, happiness and unhappiness, justice and injustice, fiction and reality. Apparently sleeping on the street is not such a far-fetched idea? And isn't everyone always looking for a home?
After the success of Tofu Cowboy, Steyn de Leeuwe now presents Moonlight Motel, in which he brings the street to the stage. A musical and humorous one-man show with dozens of characters mixed together: a virtuoso theatrical tour de force. At the end he asks himself: where is my home actually? And will he ever find it?
