The Cocktail Walk is back: taste five special Margaritas in five different bars in Rotterdam North
Cocktail lovers, take note! Specially for Margarita Day, Mexicano Silbar, along with neighbors Bar Lou, DiepNoord, Bar Tipsy, and Bar Benthuis, is organizing the Margarita Walk on Friday, February 20th, and Saturday, February 21st.
One of the most famous Mexican signature cocktails is the Margarita. There's much debate about who exactly invented the classic Margarita, but it's been confirmed that it was a Mexican in the 1930s or 1940s. A classic Margarita consists of tequila, Triple Sec (or Cointreau) for sweetness and an orange aroma, topped with lime juice for a sour note. The Margarita Walk will feature all sorts of variations on this classic recipe, and the popular Frozen Margarita is, of course, also on the menu!
Buy a ticket online for €45 and pick up your ticket at Silbar at the start of your walk. Enjoy a special Margarita and appetizers at each bar. The route is very easy to walk (even after a few Margaritas...), because it is less than 500 meters long.

World Paloma Day in Rotterdam
The traditional Paloma is mixed with tequila, lime, salt and grapefruit juice. It is a very popular drink in Mexico and the Netherlands now follows suit. May 22 is International Paloma Day and several Rotterdam establishments are organising events.
