TRAILS' music is characterized by a keen ear for detail, inventive instrument control and an original collective signature. Felicity Provan (cornet), Gonçalo Almeida (double bass) and Nora Mulder (piano) bring their backgrounds together in a rich dialogue between composition and improvisation. This balance provides a solid conceptual framework within which their performances are full of energy and spontaneity. Each concert is a quest for new sound forms, in which structure and freedom reinforce each other. TRAILS' sound language is both thoughtful and open, layered and accessible.
