Laurenskerk Invites met FAIS en Matthijs
On Friday 13 June, the Laurenskerk invites you to a special concert: the 6th edition of our Laurenskerk Invites series with FAIS and organist Matthijs van der Wilt, or pop meets classical organ sounds.
FAIS, born Faisal Ben Said in Rotterdam, is a singer and songwriter who felt embraced by music from a young age. His debut single "Hey" with Afrojack reached number two in the Dutch charts and achieved eight times platinum worldwide.
Matthijs van der Wilt has a broad musical interest, for both classical music and popular and experimental music. He studied organ and electronic composition at Codarts Rotterdam.
FAIS and Matthijs will perform new compositions, in which the worlds of pop and classical music come together. This concert promises to be a musical experience and expects a number of surprises.

This concert is part of the Laurenskerk Invites series. In this series, the Laurenskerk invites contemporary Rotterdam artists to come and get acquainted with the organ in the Laurenskerk.
