Girls won't be girls
It was inevitable; a female edition of Boys Won't Be Boys. The platform grew into a large social theatre project and in no time gathered more than 100 players, each sharing their personal story around masculinity and gender.
Performer Marleen Hendrickx hosts this very first female edition in GIRLS WON'T BE GIRLS together with Kirsten van Teijn. They present a sanctuary for a diverse group of players with a talent for being human. They tell, sing, rap, joke, dance, in short: they pull out all the stops for this special edition.
No one fits exactly into a box, and that is exactly what should be celebrated. By sharing all these different stories, GIRLS WON'T BE GIRLS breaks through prejudices and stereotypes. And boxes? They are there to dress you up into who you really are.
