Filosofieworkshop - Durf te denken over…Vrouwen in de spotlight
Do you dare to ask questions? Do you dare to engage in conversation with others? Do you dare to risk your own opinions? Then come and philosophize at the Rotterdam Library, led by philosopher Ruby Knipscheer!
Influential women have always existed, but these days we see more and more female role models in all sorts of positions. Unfortunately, they don't always receive the praise they deserve and are often harshly criticized in the media.
Where do these prejudices come from? We'll discuss this and look together at the lives, influences, and reactions to famous women. We'll examine Taylor Swift's new album, "The Life of a Showgirl," in which she addresses this phenomenon and refers back to other Showgirls who faced this negativity, such as Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe.
