Engelse Boekenclub bij Donner: Pride and Prejudice
Pride and Prejudice: the last English book club classic before the summer break.
This time we discuss Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen – the mother of the romcom and perhaps the most adapted book ever. Prequels, sequels, modern film adaptations, zombie versions... nothing has been spared this classic.
Of course, we'll discuss why this book is a classic, but we'll also make room for the iconic movie moments: Mr. Darcy's wet shirt moment, the handflick, and much more.
The general part is in English. Then we split up into an English-speaking and a Dutch-speaking group, so that there is room for an in-depth conversation in the language you prefer.
