Dokhuis Reading Night
During the Dokhuis Reading Night, we make space to read together. No program, no conversation, and no screens for a while. You are welcome with any kind of book, in any language. Dutch, English, Arabic, Spanish, or something else—anything is welcome. We share the same space, but we all read our own stories.
A moment for yourself
At the Dokhuis Reading Night, you take your time to read. You are welcome with any type of book and in any language. It doesn't matter if you are reading a novel, a poetry collection, or a textbook. You don't need to prepare anything or share it with others. Just enjoy your own story while being together with other readers.
Relaxation and meeting
Would you like to take a break from reading? Then you can grab a cup of tea or meet someone briefly. It is not a book club, so you don't have to start conversations about what you are reading. It is about relaxation and the pleasure of reading in a pleasant environment.
Room for initiatives
Reading Night takes place in the café on the ground floor. On the other floors, there is space for existing initiatives or new ideas related to reading and writing. Are you looking for a sensory-friendly space for your book club or do you want to engage in creative writing? Get in touch, and we will see how we can arrange this.
