What do a toddler and an average world leader have in common? Does that president also throw a tantrum in the grocery store aisle? Or scream until he gets what he wants? Let a toddler give a speech and a grown man in a suit babble nonsense. If you squint, you can hardly tell the difference. Only one is in charge and the other has to do what is told.
In BullyBully, two world leaders meet in no-man's land. A culture clash on a duplo level, because what the farmer doesn't know, he doesn't eat. What follows is an uncomfortable encounter between two childish, but powerful adults who gradually get used to each other. A toddler musical à la West Side Story about friendship and 'the unknown' with two players, lots of songs, funny quarrels, nagging and a happy ending.
BullyBully is the long-awaited successor to Gezocht: Konijn, Aaipet and Pak'm, three toddler shows by René Geerlings that had thousands of toddlers and parents worldwide on the edge of their seats. "Sublime piece, funny and smart" (Paulien Cornelisse about Pak'm), "Brilliant show" (Theaterkrant about Aaipet), "Utterly witty show" (Theatermaker about Gezocht: Konijn). BullyBully is produced in both the Netherlands and Turkey (Atta Festival).
