BIGI YARI: Welkom thuis, waar niemand op je zit te wachten (try-out) try-out
Comedy legend Jörgen Raymann celebrates his 60th birthday with his Bigi Yari (crown year) show. With this he is definitely back on the Dutch stage!
Back in time to 1998: The Netherlands gets to know the one and only Jörgen Raymann. After his successful career in Suriname, Raymann became a household name in Dutch comedy. In 2019, he rounded off his theater career in Theater Zuidplein with his last tour.
After a trip outside the entertainment world, he started to feel the itch again and wrote a new program. In 2024, this sold out halls in Suriname.
Now he celebrates his 60th birthday and is touring the Netherlands again with Welkom Thuis, his Bigi Yari, or crown year show. It is a sequel to his hit Even Slikken, which he played more than 20 years ago in Theater Zuidplein. It is about Mister Lasmibalsingh, the Dutch Surinamese who wants to return to his country after years. He discovers that he is a Surinamese everywhere in the world - except in Suriname itself. There he is a tatta. So how welcome is he at home?
