Come to Agua 'e Lulo, the first-ever event in Rotterdam dedicated entirely to the rich and vibrant culture of Cali, Colombia, known worldwide as the salsa capital. This year, we're offering a special Fin de Año edition with music, food, and much more.
Agua 'e Lulo: A Celebration of Cali – Fin de Año
The name Agua de Lulo comes from the parties held in Cali during the 1960s and early 1970s, when salsa music was just developing into the genre we all know and love today. These gatherings were mostly for teenagers who couldn't yet go to clubs, so they created their own spaces to experience music, dance, and fellowship. The only drink available at these parties was Agua de Lulo , a refreshing lulo juice, which gave the parties their unforgettable name.
Many believe that it was these intimate celebrations that helped shape what is now known as the Cali salsa style , an important cultural legacy for the city and its people.
